Alexander de Leon

Display Solutions Manager, Google

Alex is a recent balikbayan who just moved back to the Philippines after almost eight years in the states. Alex started his career at Deloitte & Touche in Boston, doing technology consulting for their public sector practice. He has been at Google for more than three years, and was mostly recently working on YouTube partnerships in Mountain View, California. After transferring to Manila last month,Alex currently manages Google's display advertising business.

From gDayX Mandaue to GDays Mandaue

The GBG Community in the Philippines has been enlightened on the right branding of the event that gathers Google enthusiasts in different GBG chapters in the Philippines and around the world.

GBG is a global community functioned and managed by community manager per city chapter.

Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, South Asia and Middle East are the locations of various GBG chapters.

In Cebu province, there are two GBG's: GBG Cebu and GBG Mandaue.

These are city chapters with different community managers.

Now back to GDayX and GDays...

Thankfully, one GBG community manager from Davao pointed out the error in the branding and in promoting the event in the 1st season of 2014.

GDays Mandaue would still have been gDayX Mandaue.  But with the correction, it's safe to say that Mandaue City will host its first ever Google Day.

Although GBG Cebu just recently concluded its GDays Cebu last week, April 12, 2014, the continuation of Google celebration did not end there.

GDays Mandaue will gather again Google enthusiasts, businessmen, marketers and managers in one venue to learn the Google tools for business.
